GREENVILLE — Robert Allen Lunn was the middle son born to Gordon Carnell Lunn and Lorene Stafford Lunn. He was born January 28th, 1942 in the small Delta town of Sunflower.
Lunn grew up and spent most of his life in Greenville. After a very brief service in the U.S. Air Force, he settled into his career as a welder, which he continued to do until he retired. In the early 1990s, Lunn moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, area, but eventually moved back to Greenville, where he lived until his death on May 6, 2020. He is fondly remembered by friends and family who loved to sit around and listen to jokes and stories he always enjoyed telling.
Lunn was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Lorene Lunn; and brothers, J. Gordon Lunn, Johnny Lunn, and Leonard “Len” Lunn.
He left surviving his sister, Shirley Hammett (Dan), of Hernando; daughters, Sandra Ledger (Bubba), of Vicksburg, and Lauri Lunn, of Greenville; stepdaughter, Jenae Peckham, of Colorado, California; grandchildren, Amber Hollingsworth Brewer, Caleb Hollingsworth, Lindsey Lunn, Lexie Lunn, and Calvin Peckham; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Services are suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mortimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
