GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Ruthie Mae Ransom Morris, 77, of Greenville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Agape Storge Christian Center, 130 North Theobald St., Greenville, with Minister Delores Hall officiating. Dr. Thomas Paul Williams is pastor of the church. Ruthie died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at the Washington Care Center, Greenville. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Highway 82 East, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
She is survived by her daughters, Attorney Helen Eileen Morris and Sonya Dianne Morris Dunston, both of Greenville; one son, Thomas Morris Jr., of Chattahoochee, Florida; one grandson, Cecil Renay Dunston II, of Atlanta; one granddaughter, Marianna Ruth Morris Christian, of University; one brother, James (Wade) Ransom Sr., of Canton, Michigan; one sister, Ethel (Dandy) Knight, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Nettie Mae Ransom, of Greenville; special cousins, Joseph (Buddy) Ransom Jr. (Julia), of Gretna, Louisiana, Elijah “Sonny” Moore (Helen), of Greenville, Ikie Lloyd, of Memphis, Tennessee, Camille Rivers, of Flint, Michigan.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., with family hour following from 6-7 p.m., Friday at Redmon Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, in Ruthie’s honor.
