BLACKHAWK — Funeral services for Teresa Muncher Purvis, 55, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Leland to Bobby and Hazel Donald Muncher. She graduated from O’Bannon High School and from Mississippi Delta Community College. Teresa was employed at King’s Daughters Hospital for many years in medical records. In 1994, she married Charles “Chuck” Purvis Jr., making their home in Greenville before moving to Blackhawk.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Purvis Jr., of Greenville; a son, Brandon Purvis (Heather), of Booneville; two stepdaughters, Caley Purvis, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ana Purvis of Corinth; parents, Bobby and Hazel D. Muncher, of Holcomb; a brother, Gary Muncher (Michelle), of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Ruby Tilson, of Ft. Worth, Texas.
There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
