A few minutes after the final horn sounds and the game is over Riverside girls basketball coach Denise Tyler takes her mind off coaching and back to parenting.













Born to Slam

Ta’Bias Parks did not like being told he was supposed to play basketball when he was a young child. Parks, now a 6-foot-8 star on the O’Bannon High School basketball team, was an easy-going, fun-loving kid, but he still had a mind of his own. He believed he should spend his time on things he wanted to do.


Splish, splash

Teenage boys slipped and fell into mud all day long during the St. Joseph Catholic Soccer Tournament Saturday. Most kicks were stopped immediately by pools of puddles. Water flew everywhere. It looked more like rugby than soccer.

In other words, the players had the time of their lives.
