Mississippi won't reinstate law allowing no-judge seizures

House Judiciary A Committee chairman Mark Baker, R-Brandon, listens as committee members discuss a number of bills, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, in Jackson, Miss. Baker had hopes to pass out of committee legislation that would allow Mississippi police agencies to resume seizing cash, guns, drugs and vehicles without going to court, however he said his committee won't consider House Bill 1104, which would have reinstated a previous law.
