LELAND – A $10,000 reward has been created for information leading to the earliest possible identification and arrest of the person or people responsible for the death of Ben Walker III.
Walker, a 74-year-old Tribbett resident, was found shot to death on June 30 near the Bogue Philia Bridge on the Tribbett Road east of Leland.
If anyone has any information regarding this crime, they are urged to call the Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline at 662-378-TIPS (8477) or via the P3 Tips app. All callers will remain anonymous but assigned a number.
Leland attorney Josh Bogen said the family greatly appreciates Crime Stoppers of Washington County for facilitating the announcement of this reward and that the family will not respond to media inquiries.
Deputy Billy Barber with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Friday said they are still awaiting results to be sent from the Mississippi state crime lab.
