The Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities (MSCDD) has announced the availability of new grant funding aimed at supporting projects that enhance the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. A total of approximately $175,000 in funds is available for distribution among seven or more projects, with each project receiving $25,000 or less.
This Innovative Quality of Life Grant Application is open to a broad range of organizations, including non-profit, for-profit, educational, and government entities. Applications for these one-year grants, which commence on July 1, 2024, are available online at www.mscdd.org. The deadline for submission is noon on June 5, 2024.
Eligible projects should focus on improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These could involve developing skills in advocacy and leadership; creating new opportunities in employment, transportation, housing, health, education, early intervention, recreation, or community supports; or providing essential training or resources.
Funding for these grants is provided by the Administration for Community Living. For additional information or inquiries, interested parties can contact Christy Ashley at 601-359-5533 or via email at christy.ashley@dmh.ms.gov.
