A funky good time and funky good ticket prices are sure to be had at the Mississippi Delta Blues Festival Annual Kick-Off and Block Party.
The event is set for 4-8 p.m. Saturday in front of the MACE building located at 119 Theobald St., between Main and Washington Avenues.
“Come out and enjoy live music, giveaways and discount posters and T-shirts. This will be your only chance to get MACE’s annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival tickets at a special discount price of $25,” a press release stated.
WBAD will be broadcasting live on site for the event.
The 45th annual Delta Blues & Heritage Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, on the grounds of the Washington County Convention Center.
This year’s festival will include performances by the Fife and Drum Band and Pat Thomas, father of Son Thomas. Also performing are the Kattawar Brothers, Keith Johnson & the Buddy Waters Band, led by the great grandson of Muddy Waters, Nathaniel Kimble, J’Canae, The Eric Hughes Band, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas, Bobby Rush, Sweet Angel, Jay Hammer, O.B. Buchana and Willie Clayton.
