When Anastasija Zolotic’s was just eight years old she went around the neighborhood telling everyone she saw that one day she would win the gold medal in the Olympics. Ten years later her dream came true when she represented the USA in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Her coaches wanted her to get good exposure to the Olympic Games and use the experience for working harder for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The timeline accelerated when she became the first American woman to win the Taekwondo Gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Her dad said he was never more happy or proud to see her accomplish her dream in her fist Olympics.
Winning gold is not an easy accomplishment. It takes a lot of hard work, many failures, and a dad who sticks by your side every encouraging step.
Watch for Anastasija this year.
When I heard this story I thought instantly of our walk with God. Can you imagine the impact in our little world of neighbors and our family if everyone we met heard the gospel—from us?
Imagine the excitement in your voice as you tell others about being in heaven one day, and how you want them to join you in the victory celebration. Oh, and don’t forget we, too, have a Father in Heaven who could never be more happy that we accomplished His will in our life. He will joyfully place our reward around our necks. The best part, however, is hearing His words when He says, “Well done my good and faithful servant . . . Let’s celebrate! (MT 25:21 NLT)
Watch for me in heaven when you get there!
Let’s celebrate together!
