From weather.gov:
A heat advisory is in effect until 8:00 PM CDT on June 25 for southeast Arkansas and parts of central, northcentral, and northwest Mississippi.
The National Weather Service reports dangerously hot conditions with heat index values expected to reach up to 110°F. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
To stay safe, drink plenty of fluids, seek air-conditioned environments, avoid direct sunlight, and regularly check on relatives and neighbors.
Never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles as temperatures can reach lethal levels rapidly.
When outdoors, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and try to schedule strenuous activities for the early morning or evening. Be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke; remember, heat stroke is an emergency, so call 911 immediately.
For those working outdoors, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends taking frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
