Greenville Mississippi – We are on the hunt for fresh recruits for our AmeriCorps program at Mississippi Delta Nature and Learning Center.
We invite you to be a part of our Youth Environmental Stewardship program which rewards a monthly stipend of $428.50 totaling $3000 for a dedication of 300 service hours, equating to around 10-12 hours weekly.
After completing the program you will receive a $1459.26 education award. You will also gain practical experience that could prove invaluable for your future.
The program is set to kick-off in Jan. 2024, wrapping up by Aug.
Most activities will be conducted outdoors.
Ken is originally from Utah but recently relocated to Mississippi. Previously, he worked in lawn care and as a bug man. After completing this program, Ken plans to pursue wood-working by attending trade school. In the next five years, he envisions himself owning a pitbull as a pet. Despite being new to the town, Ken is impressed by the wonderful people he has encountered. Notably, he holds the position of chainsaw committee leader. Ken appreciates the opportunity to work outdoors through this program. He firmly believes that the positive impact it will have on the community is of utmost importance. By serving others, Ken finds fulfillment, and this program allows him to do just that.
