GREENVILLE, Mississippi, Jan. 12, 2024, Today, Mayor Errick D. Simmons announces the garbage and trash pick-up schedule for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday.
The City of Greenville will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance
of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
As a result, the garbage and trash pick-up route during the week of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will proceed as follows:
Monday, garbage and trash routes will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
Tuesday, garbage and trash routes will be picked up on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024.
Wednesday, garbage and trash routes will be picked up on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024..
Thursday, and Friday, garbage and trash routes will be picked up on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. These changes were made to provide our services in a timely and effective manner.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons said, “We want our residents to know that our sanitation department is working tirelessly given the abbreviated schedule, to get all garbage cans dumped, and trash picked up, and we thank all citizens for being patient with us during this time."
