Three teenagers have been charged with capital murder for the shooting death of another teenager this weekend.
At about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, officers with the Greenville Police Department responded to the 2200 block of Robinson Lane in response to an unresponsive male. Once on scene, officers found the body of 18-year-old Greenville resident Landon Griffith, who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The Washington County Coroner’s Office pronounced Griffith as deceased on scene.
Investigators have taken into custody a 15-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, and 18-year-old Terrence Andrews Jr., all of Greenville.
All three suspects have been charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Capital Murder for their parts in this homicide. They are currently being held in the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting their initial court appearances. No bonds have been set.
