Local police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in a vehicle Thursday night.
At 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of West Union Street in reference to a shot person.
Once on scene, officers found the body of 34-year-old Bruce Willis inside a gray Chevy Cruz, according to Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant.
“Emergency medical personnel and the Washington County Coroner were dispatched,” Merchant said.
Willis was pronounced deceased on scene.
“Investigators with the Criminal Investigation’s Division are following up on all leads at this time,” Merchant said.
