Diane Allen
GREENVILLE — Diane Roberts Allen, 81, of Greenville, passed away Dec. 7, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Diane was born in Silver City on June 21, 1941, to George Truett and Elizabeth Hall Roberts. Diane met the love of her life, Bill, when they were just small children growing up in Silver City. Diane and Bill’s parents were best friends. Diane and Bill were married on Nov. 21, 1962.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved Bill.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Allen (Ryan), of Madison, and Brad Allen (Penny), of Meridian; grandchildren, Corey Allen, of San Antonio, TX, Reese Allen, of Starkville, Elliott Allen, of Nashville, TN, Madilyn Allen, of Meridian, Brittney McCall Wheat, of Takoma, WA, and Christian McCall, of Meridian; and a great-grandchild, Lucas Wheat.
Diane attended the Mississippi University for Women. After Diane and Bill were married, they lived in Tupelo, Natchez, Selma, AL, Atlanta, GA, and then finally moved to Greenville, where they spent most of their adult life.
Diane taught gymnastics for many years around the Delta and at the local schools. Diane and Bill loved the Mississippi State Bulldogs and spent many weekends watching and cheering for the bulldogs with their friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Greenville City Cemetery in Greenville.
