GREENVILLE, Mississippi - With profound love and gratitude for a life faithfully lived, we announce the passing of Emery Hershel "Bucky" Lott of Greenville. He was born on April 9, 1948, along with his beloved twin sister Marilyn Lott Graves, in Hattiesburg to Hershel Loamma Lott and Edith King Lott of Seminary. Bucky was welcomed into his heavenly home on March 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of grace, integrity, and steadfast love for his family, who adored him.
Everyone who knew Bucky loved him. He was named Mr. Seminary High School by his classmates, and he enjoyed many friendships at Jones County Junior College and Ole Miss Pharmacy School. In 1972, he joined his brother Lowell at the Wells Village Pharmacy in Greenville. Bucky and Lowell later bought the drug store from Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wells and worked side by side for 40 years, treating their customers and employees with a friendliness and care that created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt like family.
He met the love of his life, Martha Frances "Fran" Finch Lott, when he moved to Greenville, and they were married for 45 years before her death. Bucky is survived by his brother Lowell Lott (Kitten) and his twin sister Marilyn Graves, his daughters Amy (Bart Barrett) and Sally (Chris Miller) and his seven grandchildren, of whom he was infinitely proud: Samuel Barrett, Eva Barrett, Emery Barrett, Reilly Miller, Paxton Miller, Jewel Miller, and Buck Miller. Bucky highly valued time spent with his extended family as well and will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law and his nieces and nephews.
Bucky was a faithful member of Trinity Global Methodist Church of Greenville, where he served as a Trustee and member of the leadership team. He was named to the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy and enjoyed serving the state during his four-year term. A founding member of the Archer Island Hunting Club, he served on their board for several years as well. Bucky loved his hunting camp community, and he especially enjoyed hosting the annual Dove Hunt and teaching his grandchildren to deer hunt.
A service will be held in his memory on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Trinity Global Methodist Church, 850 McAllister Street, Greenville. Visitation with the family will be at 11 a.m., followed by a service at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Global Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
