The group’s early roots date all the way back to the ‘40s and gospel music. By the ‘70s, they rose to stardom with a lineup featuring Joe Bonsall, Duane Allen, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban. It was during this time the quartet found their groove in country music with four-part harmonies and upbeat songs. Over the next 50 years, The Oak Ridge Boys thrilled crowds and charted numerous hit singles including “American Made,” “Thank God for Kids,” “Ozark Mountain Jubilee,” “Bobbie Sue” and “Elvira.” Along the way they’ve earned Grammy, Dove, ACM and CMA awards, plus countless more accolades.
