A Thursday night house fire in the 500 block of Starling Street may have been arson, Greenville Fire Chief Ruben Brown said.
A report of a house fire at 10:35 p.m. was responded to be Rescue 2, Rescue 7, Engine 5, Squad 3, Command 1 and 2.
Utilities at the home were reportedly turned off and the structure was not occupied.
Entergy was called for a down power line and the fire was brought under control in about one hour. The structure sustained heavy fire damage and no injuries were reported.
Upon arrival Rescue 2 reported a single story wood frame structure was fully engulfed in flames.
Brown said the response to the fire was well origanized.
