GREENVILLE, Mississippi - Funeral services for James L. "Jay" Barber III, 23 of Greenville were at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Way Church in Greenville. Burial followed in Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland. He died June 10, 2025 in Jackson.
Visitation was from 2-4 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
Survivors include: mother, Martha Taylor-Barber of Greenville; sisters, Candice Barber of Jackson, Alisha Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, and Angela Barnett of Shreveport, Louisiana; brothers, Dominique Barber of Azle, Texas and Demetric Cross of Greenville; maternal grandmother, Georgetta Moody-Taylor of Greenville; paternal grandfather, James Barber of Vicksburg.
