Jeanne Hall
HOLLANDALE — Graveside services for Jeanne Koch Hall, 99, of Hollandale, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Hollandale Cemetery. She passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living, Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
A native of California, Jeanne was the daughter of Myrtle Matson Koch and Col. Frank Martin Koch. In 1946, she married Dickson Liddell Hall, of Hollandale, after his discharge from World War II naval service.
Jeanne was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hollandale. She was also a member of the Hollandale Garden Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. For many years, Jeanne loved playing bridge with her lifelong friends from Hollandale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dickson Liddell Hall; and her sister, Betty Anne Westcott, of Danville, CA.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (John) Allan, of Covington, LA, and Merry Anne (Murphy) Jones, of Greenville; grandchildren, John Allan III, of Alexandria, VA, Amy McIntyre, of Mandeville, LA, Lauren Marconi, of Starkville, Meryl Ryder, of New Orleans, LA; and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to acknowledge the devotion of her caregivers at Magnolia Gardens, especially Boronda Williams and Gerri McVay. A special thank you to our friend and hospice nurse, Sarah Jones, for her loving care.
