GREENVILLE — Joshua Caleb McCain, 30, of Greenville, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022. Services will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 17, at Restoration Church, 1265 South Main St., Greenville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Pastor Jae Smith with officiate the service and Bishop John Wesley Jones will officiate the graveside service.
Josh was born Dec. 10, 1991, in Greenville, to Mike and Beth McCain. He was a member of Restoration Church for his entire life, where his parents are also members. He attended Riverside High School and Mississippi Delta Community College and worked at Uncle Ben’s in Greenville, where he recently received a promotion. The youngest of five brothers, Josh enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, looking through old picture albums with his grandparents, hunting and fishing, taking care of animals and was an avid Ole Miss fan. Josh was a very caring person and a clown, who knew how to make people smile.
Josh is survived by his parents, Michael Eugene McCain and Beth Menhel McCain, of Greenville; four brothers, Sidney Guest, of Greenville, Kris Guest, of Greenville, Joe Guest, of Monroe, LA, and Michael David McCain, of Jackson; grandmothers, Gracie McIntyre Menhel, Ruth Menhel and Maxine McCain; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Abe Menhel and Eugene McCain; his uncles, Danny Flanagan and Ronald Polk; and his nephew, Kaleb Ryan Guest.
Pall bearers will be his four brothers, Sidney Guest, Kris Guest, Joe Guest and Michael David McCain, as well as his close friends Geremy Stevens and Will McIntire. Honorary pall bearers will be Noah McCain, Jackson Guest, Blake Gordon, and Randy Ray.
Mortimer Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Those who wish to donate flowers are welcome or a donation to the Mississippi Blood Services or an animal shelter of choice in Josh’s name are greatly appreciated by the family and friends of Josh.
