As the last quarter of the academic school year approaches, the Greenville Arts Council is already preparing to do its part to ensure young minds stay stimulated and engaged during the summer.
Once again, GAC is offering age-appropriate Summer Art Boxes for students whose ages range from 4 to 12 years old.
Each suit-case style box will contain a minimum of five projects for each child, with all the necessary materials and instructions to create them and a snack as well.
The reserved boxes may be picked up from GAC beginning June 1, or delivered by request for those who reside within the city limits of Greenville.
Each box will cost $60 for GAC members and $75 for non-members.
Those interested in reserving a box have until April 14 to do so.
Summer Art Boxes can be reserved by calling the GAC at 662-332-2246, emailing execadmin@greenville-arts-council.com or by ordering online at greenville-arts-council.com.
Local visual arts instructor Sara Wilkerson is the coordinator for the project.
“I am very pleased that the summer art boxes have been such a success, and I am excited that many children get the opportunity to continue their art education during the summer months,” said Wilkerson. “I am thrilled to help provide a creative outlet for our young community to grow their imagination and individuality.”
