Auditions for the Christmas classic, “Miracle on 34th Street” are quickly approaching.
Based on the novel by Valentine Davies and the 20th century Fox Motion picture, this will be Delta Center Stage’s first time producing this Christmas production.
Show’s director Sonya Bixler said there is room for a large cast, so everyone of all ages, regardless of experience, is welcome to audition.
“We have room for children, we have room for teenagers, we have room for lots of adults,” she said. “There’s room for everybody. We truly want to make this a community representation.”
Although the show is not a musical, Bixler said there will be scenes that involve carolers, so anyone with musical talent is encouraged to audition.
“We have some carol singers that appear several times and depending on who we get, we’d like to use them quite a bit,” she said.
Auditions are set for 6 p.m. Oct. 11-12 at the Delta Center Stage Rehearsal Hall. Overflow auditions, if need be, will take place Oct. 14.
Performance dates for “Miracle on 34th Street” are set to run Dec. 2-5.
