The 8th annual Greenville Fire Department Fire & Life Safety Festival is set for 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Schelben Park.
Admission to the event is free.
Some of the highlights of the festival include a kids combat challenge, jaws of life demonstration, a cheer competition, safety vendors, food and drinks and more.
“This Festival was started to help bring awareness to Fire Safety to help reduce fire deaths in Greenville and surrounding areas,” Fire Chief Ruben Brown said. “The life safety part includes mental health, wellness, domestic abuse, poison safety and more.”
He also pointed out that this year’s festival will include COVID-19 and flu vaccinations and wellness checks.
