The power of ‘Dolomite’, the meanest, rankest, bad bull in the land is coming back to Greenville.
‘Dolomite’ isn’t one specific bull, actually. It is just the toughest bull that will, once again, be at this year’s 8th Annual Greenville Heritage Rodeo which is Saturday night at the Washington County Convention Center. The rodeo begins at 7 p.m.
Each year when James Hardiman brings his rodeo to town, the crowd always erupts when they hear the name ‘Dolomite’. They know that they can expect a truly powerful beast of an animal.
“Dolomite is a little fictitious,” Hardiman explained. “But every year they expect to hear about him, and this year will be no different.”
Tickets for this year’s rodeo are still available. The tickets cost $20 at the gate. Advanced tickets ($15) and group tickets can be purchased by calling Hardiman at (678) 602-1057.
Prizes will be given to the best dressed Western individuals and largest group in attendance.
This year’s rodeo is once again a three day event.
• The event at starts at 10 a.m. on Friday with a “College Day and Career Fair Rodeo Exhibition” where K-12 youths will be entertained by motivational speakers and a free rodeo exhibition.
