The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County is holding its annual golf tournament on June 26, and it’s now time for local golfers of all skill levels to sign up for the event.
The tournament will be held at the Greenville Municipal Golf Course with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be a two-man scramble with a cost of $75 per player. Trophies will be awarded to the winning teams, and the event also includes a putting contest and a prize raffle.
“The golf tournament has been held for about 20 years. It is one of our organization’s major fundraisers to help with the sustainability of our Club, which has been in the Greenville community since 1975,” said Joan Rowe, the chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
Along with playing in the tournament, local businesses and residents are also encouraged to help sponsor the tees on the course. Title sponsors for the tournament are also available.
“Players in the tournament are giving the opportunity to come out and fellowship with each other, excellent prizes are giving away, and the tournament helps to keep our doors open so we can serve youth 6-18 years of age.
“ It is great to be a part of the golfing environment for the day,” Rowe said.
