Here’s the results from the third MRAA 2023/24 Winter Trail Tournament at Lake Chicot last Saturday. The tournament had 26 boats fishing in the tournament. The weather was very nice, but fishing again was very slow.
Out of our 26 boats fishing, only 7 boats managed to bring in a 4-bass limit of 15" Lake Chicot bass. First place went to the team of Brad Taylor and David Cooksey. Brad and David's 4-bass limit weighed 14.51 pounds. including the tournament lunker of 5.78 pounds.
Coming in second place was the team of Patrick Chapman and Rusty Lineras. Patrick and Rusty's 4-bass limit weighed 12.54 pounds.
Coming in third place was Chris Coy and Rudy Vanderford. Chris and Rudy's 4-bass limit weighed 11.71 pounds.
Fourth place went to the team of Michael Hayes and Tad Keller, however Bradley Hayes substituted for Tad on Saturday. Their 4-bass limit weighed 11.51 pounds.
Coming in fifth place was the team of Matt Brooks and Jake White. Their 4-bass limit weighed 11.22 pounds.
Coming in sixth place and getting the last check was the team of Steve Tullor and Dakota Fleming. Their 4-bass limit weighed 10.64 pounds. Congratulations to all of the money winners.
The fourth 2023/24 MRAA Winter Trail Tournament is scheduled to be on Lake Ferguson on January 6th. It's still a good possibility that this location could be changed to another lake due to the continuing low water situation in the Mississippi River. If the Mississippi River stays above 9' on the Greenville gauge the tournament will be on Lake Ferguson. If it is below that level the tournament location will be changed.
