BUZZ CITY — Greenville Honeybees move to 8-1 after getting by North Side

The Greenville Honeybees kept buzzing along as they captured another tough victory by beating visiting North Side 44-40 Tuesday night.

Junior Charlisa Barney led Greenville High with 17 points. Sophomore Coriyonna Brown scored 14 points and had 7 rebounds. Tykeria McCullum scored 8 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had 6 assists.

The Honeybees improved to 8-1 this season, and their next game is Friday night on the road against Clarksdale.

North Side boys 45, Greenville High 38

Greenville senior Franklin Bennett score a team-high 11 points and had 9 nine as the Hornets saw their record drop to 5-5 this season. Gymanuel Wells and Isaiah Thomas each scored seven points. Tamarion Rhodes scored six points.

The Hornets travel to Clarksdale Friday.
