George Scott III, son of former Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer and Greenville native George “Boomer” Scott is the primary marketing representative for a company that is now releasing Ken Griffey Jr. NFTs.
An NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are bought and sold online.
Back in 2020, Scott began divulging bits and pieces about the possibilities should big stars gravitate towards digital sports memorabilia. With the signing of arguably the most skilled and physically-gifted player ever to swing a bat, Scott’s hyperbole from two years ago is an inevitable reality.
“We been working with Mr. Griffey for seven months in development of his NFTs,” Scott shared. It brings a lot of notoriety when an internationally-known household name like Mr. Griffey joins forces with you.”
