The Greenville Christian School boys basketball team is now on a 3-game winning streak after the Saints defeated Porter’s Chapel 54-51 Tuesday night.
Trey Rhodes led the Saints with 29 points and scored 10 points in the fourth quarter. Kelvin Lyons scored 8 points.
“We are still not at full strength. We’ve playing really good defense, but we haven’t found our offensive identity or been able to really get in a rhythm on offense. Most teams have already played eight games and have been able to work out the kinks. We have had five games and only one game with our full team. We have five new starters,” Greenville Christian Coach Logan Collins said.
“Because of our success the last couple of years, we are going to get everybody’s best game. Even though we haven’t played up to our potential, we’ve been able to withstand others best shots. I’m excited about our potential.”
The Greenville Christian School boys basketball team is the two-time defending MAIS Class 3A state champion.
