Greenville High students Bethany Stanford and Jacey Thomas finished first and second in the shot put at the MHSAA 5A North State State Championship last week.
Stanford finished in first place with a throw of 97-feet and 11 inches. Thomas finished in second with a throw of 95-feet 5 inches.
Both Stanford and Thomas have qualified for the 5A State Championship.
Stanford also finished third in the discus at North State.
