The team of Joey Beevers and Bobby Burton (pictured left) took first place at MRAA 2023 Summer Trail Tournament at Lake Ferguson on April 22. Joey and Bobby's 4-bass limit weighed 17.40 pounds.
Coming in a close second place was the team of Mike Jordan and Cliff Payne. Mike and Cliff's 4-bass limit weighed 17.19 pounds.
Coming in third place was the team of Steve Tullos fishing with his wife Allyson who was substituting for Houston Powell. Steve and Allyson's 4-bass limit weighed 16.63 lbs.
Fourth place went to the team of Eric Thompson fishing with his son Patrick Thompson.Their 4-bass limit weighed 16.08 lbs.
Fifth place went to the team of Wesley Johnson and Jackie Johnson. Their 4-bass weighed 115.45 lbs.
Coming in sixth place was the team of Chris Coy and Rudy Vanderford. Their 4-bass limit weighed 15.42 lbs. Coming in seventh place was the team of Lennie Smith and Leslie Smith. Their 4-bass limit weighed 15.14 lbs. Coming in eighth place was the team of Charlie Jennings and Pete Cora. Their 4-bass limit weighed 15.08 lbs. Coming in ninth place and getting the last check was the team of Lee Lindsey and Tim Kirby who was substituting for Dale Stewart . Their 4-bass limit weighed 14.83 lbs. The tournament lunker was caught by the team of Lawson Davis and Matt Bateman. Their big fish weighed an impressive 6.49 lbs.
Out of our 44 boats fishing, 32 boats were able to bring in a 4-bass limit of Mississippi River bass, and only 6 boats chose not to weigh in their fish and zeroed.
