The fishing team of Jonathan and Colby Sulton reeled in the top prize at the MRAA 2022/23 Winter Trail Tournament at Lake Washington on Dec. 10.
Jonathan and Colby’s four-bass limit weighed 14.48 pounds. The team won a first-place check of $1,365.
Second place at the fishing tournament went to the team of Chris Coy and Rudy Vanderford whose four-bass limit weighed 13.46 pounds, including the tournament lunker of 5.16 pounds. Coming in third place was Mike Loflin and David Myers, whose four-bass limit weighed 12.68 pounds. Fourth place went to the team of Tim McDaniel and Terry Bates whose four-bass limit weighed 12.18 pounds.
Fifth place went to Steve Tullos who was fishing by himself. Steve's four-bass limit weighed 11.11 pounds. Sixth place went to the team of Andy Graves and Jason Lunceford, whose four-bass weighed 11.10 pounds. Coming in seventh place and getting the last check was the team of Jimmy and Keith Brumfield. Their 4-bass limit weighed in at 11.07 pounds.
Thirty-three boats fished in the tournament on what was a beautiful fishing day for everyone. Out of our 33 boats fishing, 14 boats brought in a 4-bass limit of Lake Washington bass while only 3 boats were unable to weigh in a 15-inch keeper.
