St. Joseph Catholic School is having a kickball tournament this Saturday to raise money for the benefit of ninth grade student Maria Guillen who is battling cancer.
The tournament begins at 9 a.m. and should last until the afternoon. Kickball games will be played on the baseball and softball field.
St. Joseph head baseball and softball coach Paul Hughes is organizing the event.
“The entire community is welcomed to come out and help us raise money for Maria,” Coach Hughes said. “Everyone can come and watch. It is free. Come out and enjoy and hamburger or a snow cone.”
All the concession money raised at the event will go to support Maria Guillen and her family. Event organizers will also be accepting donations on Saturday.
