SUNFLOWER, Mississippi — Funeral services for Luther Norwood, 90, of Sunflower, will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Persimmon Grove Church in Sunflower. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Gardens. Rev. Terry Cobbs will officiate under the direction of Byas Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include sons Luther Norwood Jr., Arthur Norwood, Sim Norwood, Mackel Durham, Paul Norwood and Tony Norwood; daughters Linda Love, Sandra McClain and Tabatha Jones; 35 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
He was born June 26, 1935 and died February 28, 2026.
