INDIANOLA, Mississippi – Funeral services for Mattie Young, 93, of Indianola, will be held on Friday, September 5, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Indianola. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 4, from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Indianola, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Father Sleeva.
She is survived by her children, Christeen G. Henry (Irvin), Elbert Peterson, Betty McKenzie (Emmitt), and Jacqueline Mabece (Thomas); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
