On a Sunday evening in October, voices from throughout Greenville will rise together under one roof with a shared purpose: worship, prayer and unity.
Mission Mississippi will relaunch its Greenville local movement with a Unity Worship Gathering on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, 323 S. Main St. The event will bring together believers from different churches, backgrounds and neighborhoods for what organizers describe as a powerful night of reconciliation and renewal.
For more than three decades, Mission Mississippi has been dedicated to fostering relationships across racial, ethnic and cultural lines, demonstrating what it calls the Gospel’s call to oneness in Christ. Leaders said the Greenville relaunch is not just about restoring a local chapter but about restoring a shared vision for the Delta.
“This special event invites the Greenville community to renew that vision by worshiping and seeking God together as one family of faith,” organizers said.
The evening will feature Brian Crawford, president of Mission Mississippi, as the guest speaker. Crawford said the timing of the event is significant, pointing to division and brokenness across the nation.
“Our nation is divided, our communities are hurting, but the Church has an incredible opportunity to be a unifier in the midst of division and to be light in the midst of darkness,” Crawford said. “The way out is intentional, intense, and unceasing love—and this event is one important step toward a larger movement in that direction.”
The Unity Worship Gathering will include worship, prayer and opportunities for believers to recommit themselves to the work of reconciliation. Mission Mississippi leaders said they hope the event will spark ongoing collaboration among churches, pastors and community members throughout Greenville and the wider Delta region.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Mission Mississippi has organized statewide initiatives that encourage grace and understanding through Christ. Its leaders believe the local relaunch in Greenville will help carry that legacy forward at a time when unity is needed most.
The event, free and open to the public, will take place on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, 323 S. Main St., in Greenville. Churches, families, leaders and individuals across the Delta are invited to attend.
