A man who was arrested for murder, and had the charges dropped by judge Michael Prewitt, is now sought again by police for new charges on the same crime.

Due to a joint investigation with the Greenville Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, on 03-05-2021 new charges were filed against Takendre Edmond for murder and he has an active warrant at this time. Edmonds is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Law enforcement should be contacted if he is seen.
Takendre Edmond, 25, surrendered himself to the Greenville Police Department Sunday afternoon for shooting and killing 43-year-old Latarous Harris on Saturday.
Greenville Police Department Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant said officers received a call at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, about a shot person in the 800 block of North Theobald Street.
Once on scene, officers found Harris in the passenger seat of a gray Lexus in the 800 block of North Theobald Street.
