On May 14, around 6:45 a.m., the Greenville Police Department received a call in reference to 2 shot victims in the 400 block of Muscadine. When officers arrived on scene, they encountered one Black male lying near the front door and another Black male lying near the living room, both with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Delta Health Systems, where one victim succumbed to his injuries and the other was flown out for further treatment. Investigators were able to collect evidence from the crime scene, and further investigation led to a possible suspect being taken into custody. Details surrounding the shooting are unclear, but detectives say it was the result of an altercation that took place at the residence.
