GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Investigator Myiesha Breanna Stewart, 30, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Washington County Convention Center. She died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022. Public visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Washington County Convention Center, with visitation for law enforcement following from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
Investigator Myiesha Stewart died in the “Line of Duty” on Oct. 11, 2022. She was an investigator with the Greenville Police Department until her “End of Watch.”
Myiesha Breanna Stewart was born Sept. 9, 1992, to Michael Bernard Stewart and Petula Carter in Greenville, Mississippi, at King’s Daughters Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Bonnie Lou Stewart; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Ellen Young; maternal grandfather, Walter Trent Carter Sr.; two uncles, Herman Dillard and Tevin Carter Young; and a great-uncle, Willie George Dillard.
Myiesha leaves to cherish in her memories, her son, Jace Azar Stewart, of Greenville; her father, Michael Bernard Stewart, of Greenville; her mother, Petula Carter, of Adrian, Michigan; a brother, Christopher Carter, of Adrian, Michigan; two sisters, Shmyra Garrison, of Adrian, Michigan, and Rhomika Stewart, of Greenville; three uncles, Walter Carter, of Adrian, Michigan, Alfred Stewart Jr. (Vanessa Hall), of Greenville, and Mario Terrell Stewart (Gabriela Hernandez), of Adrian, Michigan; three aunts, Romonica (Darnell) Wilbert, of Hollandale, Roslyn (Keith) Boston, of Greenville, and Vicky Cosey, of Adrian, Michigan; a special cousin, Byron Darnell Harris Jr.; two nieces; and one nephew.
