The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 28, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A swath of snow will stretch from western Montana southward
to Wyoming and then eastward into Michigan along the path of
an Alberta clipper tomorrow. Streets and sidewalks can be
snow-packed and slippery anywhere in that zone, but central
Iowa, southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois and southwestern
Lower Michigan are expected to have the heavier snow. The
wind will increase farther west, so blowing snow will be an
issue in South Dakota and northern Nebraska. Lighter snow
and snow showers will occur over interior New England and
upstate New York. Farther south, a few showers will dampen a
zone from central and southern Missouri to southern Illinois
and southward to eastern Texas. California can expect
another dry day before precipitation returns Sunday.
However, precipitation should be fairly light.
