The Nation's Weather for Monday, June 19, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms may once again sweep across portions of
the South tomorrow. The risk for damaging winds and even
hail will extend from southeastern Louisiana northward into
South Carolina and eastward through much of the Florida
Peninsula. Intense downpours may also lead to areas of
flash flooding. Showers and thunderstorms north of that
zone may reach as far as southern Illinois and even Ohio
through the day. Showers will remain possible across much
of New England as a storm continues to depart. As a strong
cold front pushes out of the West, a rather chilly airmass
left in its wake will mean rain and mountain snow for some
yet again in the Northwest. Dry conditions are to be
expected from Southern California across the Southwest and
through the Plains as well.
