NATIONAL SUMMARY
Idalia will continue to push off the Southeast coast during
the day tomorrow, shifting east of the Carolinas as strong
winds and heavy rain wind down from west to east. However,
Florida will remain active with thunderstorms continuing at
times, possibly also extending into southern Georgia.
Elsewhere, a wide swath of the nation stretching from the
South into the central Plains and eastward from the Midwest
across the Great Lakes, the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast
will be largely dry tomorrow under high pressure. A few
clouds and even a stray thunderstorm are expected for
portions of the northern Plains, with showers near the
Pacific Northwest coastline and widely separated
thunderstorms around the Four Corners region.
