The Nation's Weather for Sunday, February 25, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and high-elevation snow will begin across the Northeast
tomorrow as a strong storm pushes onshore. Snow can begin to
mix with rain across the lowlands late at night as colder
air spreads across this region. A bit of snow can fall
across North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota as a
quick-moving storm travels across the northern Plains.
Elsewhere across much of the nation, largely dry weather
will continue as a broad zone of high pressure remains from
the East to the Intermountain West. Milder air will continue
to spread eastward, and temperatures will trend 15-30
degrees Fahrenheit above historical averages across the
center of the country. Dry and windy conditions in New
Mexico, eastern Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska can lead to an
elevated risk of wildfires.
