NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms may produce flash flooding and damaging winds
from southern Virginia through the Carolinas to northern and
central Georgia tomorrow. Farther west, there can be
flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas from
southeastern Arkansas and northeastern Louisiana to central
portions of Mississippi and Alabama. Flash flooding and
damaging wind gusts may occur on a localized basis with
thunderstorms in southeastern Arizona. Spotty afternoon
thunderstorms are expected along much of the Gulf coast and
in the central and southern Rockies. Unusually rough surf
and rip currents may be an issue for some beaches in
Southern California. A stretch of comfortable weather will
begin from eastern Kansas to central Pennsylvania. Heat will
begin to intensify in the interior Northwest.
