The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, March 16, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
High pressure will move into the Northeast tomorrow,
bringing mild air and quiet weather. Meanwhile, a weak
system will bring showers to an area of the northern
Midwest, including portions of eastern Minnesota. A storm
moving offshore will also produce an area of rain, showers
and thunderstorms for portions of the Southeast, including
from Tennessee to Florida. Storms can be strong at times
bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and even an isolated
tornado or two. Downpours may lead to localized flooding,
but can also ease long-term dry conditions. As much of the
South Central and Southwest regions enjoy sunshine, a storm
will spread showers, rain and areas of intermountain snow
inland from Washington, Oregon and inland to areas of Idaho,
Montana and Wyoming.
