The Nation's Weather for Friday, October 11, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A few showers will dampen central and southern parts of the
Florida Peninsula tomorrow. While any rain will be light,
there could be slight disruptions to any cleanup efforts in
the wake of Hurricane Milton. Meanwhile, unusually rough
surf and rip currents will stir up the Atlantic Ocean from
North Carolina to northeastern Florida. Elsewhere, spotty
showers are also expected over the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan and northern Lower Michigan. The rest of the nation
should be precipitation-free. Much of the Ohio Valley and
mid-Atlantic will be dry and comfortable. New England will
also be dry but seasonably chilly. The southern Plains will
be hot. Farther west, record-challenging heat will continue
in parts of interior Southern California and southern
Arizona.
