NATIONAL SUMMARY
A few showers will dampen northwestern California tomorrow.
Other areas of showers will affect South Florida,
northwestern New England, northern Illinois and Indiana, and
northern Minnesota. The showers in Illinois and Indiana can
potentially extend into Ohio and as far east as northwestern
Pennsylvania before the end of the day. Elsewhere across the
nation, no precipitation is expected to begin the weekend.
In fact, comfortable temperatures will be in place in
southern New England and down into the mid-Atlantic.
However, heat will bake the southern Plains, with some
locations approaching record-high temperatures. Meanwhile,
the persistent and record-breaking heat will continue in
portions of the Desert Southwest. However, it should be a
bit less expansive than in recent days.
