The Nation's Weather for Friday, November 8, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms can bring hail and localized damaging wind
gusts to parts of central Texas tomorrow. An isolated
tornado is not completely out of the question. Farther
north, flooding will be a concern from southwestern Kansas
to central Oklahoma. Meanwhile, snow in eastern Colorado can
cause poor visibility and slippery spots, leading to slow
travel. Travel will be extremely dangerous and difficult in
the heaviest snow in southeastern Colorado and northeastern
New Mexico. Elsewhere, a spotty thunderstorm could rumble
along the Gulf coast. An easterly flow will cause a shower
or two along the east coast of Florida, which could push as
far inland as the central Florida Peninsula. A few showers
will push into northern New England during the afternoon,
which could be mixed with snow.
