NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy rainfall is expected in northwestern California and
southwestern Oregon tomorrow. Snow is expected to accumulate
in areas such as the Cascade and Klamath mountains and also
the higher terrain of northeastern Washington. In eastern
North and South Dakota into much of Minnesota a few snow
showers are also expected. Near the North Dakota and
Minnesota border there may be steadier periods of snow.
Wind gusts over 40 mph in the Dakotas into southern
Minnesota can cause blowing snow and localized whiteout
conditions that can reduce visibility. In the mid-Atlantic
there can be spotty showers in the morning and
thundershowers in the afternoon that may be capable of
producing localized damaging winds and small hail.
